There is nothing more contagious than emotion
We are social creatures. As such, all of us pick up on the verbal and non-verbal “cues” and “vibes” that others display. For instance – if you see someone else yawn – don’t you yawn in response? That’s because yawns are “contagious”.
Smiles are “contagious” too. If you’re around an individual that is smiling – you begin to smile and are receptive to having a conversation with them.
Like a thermostat, you and your staff “set the emotional temperature” in your office. Is it warm and inviting or cold and bitter? Patients generally feel bad physically and emotionally when they visit your office – because they are in pain. Along with your chiropractic adjustment, you and your staff have the power to make your patients feel better emotionally – by exhibiting an uplifting, positive, and caring attitude. Remember that the “healing process” is part physical and part emotional. One affects the other. Fix them both.
